NEW Training Series
California has no shortage of compliance requirements for nonprofits executing work during election years. That means California 501(c)(3)s supporting multi-entity organizations must build significant capacity to execute bold, compliant work during busy election years. That’s why the Bold & Safe program is offering a California-specific training series for nonprofits navigating this state’s rules in a busy election year.
This series is designed for small- to medium-sized multi-entity organizations with operations, program, and/or fundraising staff who want to learn about California compliance or refresh their knowledge about the rules. Training content will reflect the realities of the capacity 501(c)(3) must build to compliantly support multi-entity work in California—including how to build and make late program pivots. The Bold & Safe program is designed to specifically support multi-entity organizations build new finance, operations, and compliance skills to build better teams, systems and practices required to stay compliant.Â

The Capacity Shop (TCS) is an educational organization exempt from taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. TCS is focused on building the operational capacity of 501(c)(3) organizations to engage in compliant multi-entity work. NLA is a social welfare organization under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. NLA is focused on building the operational capacity of all legal structures used by multi-entity organizations.
